Paw-some Pet Pros Badge (B)

Cybersecurity Investigator (DBJ)

Girls will develop critical-thinking, problem-solving, and tech-savvy skills as they investigate cyber scenarios and practice safe online habits.

SOW What? Journey in a Day (S)

Dig into the world of agriculture and explore how plants, soil, and farming shape our communities with the SOW What? Journey in a Day! Girl Scouts will learn about the importance of agriculture, sustainable farming practices, and how food grows from seed to table.

Through reflection and exploration, girls will gain knowledge, build skills, and feel empowered to take action in supporting local food systems and sustainable practices.

Outdoor Training – Santa Barbara (V)

Date: Thu Feb 26 2026, 6:00 PM PST AND Sun Mar 08 2026, 4:00 PM PST
Outdoor Training prepares leaders to teach their troop the skills needed for cooking and camping outdoors. This is a two part training. Both parts must be taken together and completed prior to any planned trips. Participants will plan their outdoor day during Part A and will be bring some camping and cooking supplies to Part B on Sunday.

Stepping Out is a prerequisite for this class and must be completed prior to Part A. Contact council for more information.

Wilderness Day Hike to Rattlesnake Canyon (Santa Barbara) (JCSAV)

Date: Sun Dec 07 2025, 9:30 AM PST – 2:30 PM PST

Trek Wild, a Volunteer led hiking and backpacking program in the GSCCC central/south area, is offering a day hike to Rattlesnake Canyon in Santa Barbara. This hike will include 1500′ of elevation gain (and loss) over 5.5 miles round trip.

Prerequisite: participants must have completed Trek Wild’s Wilderness Hiking Course (Look for upcoming course on Nov 16 if you are interested).

Meeting location: Rattlesnake Trailhead

Packing list: 10 essentials, appropriate layers, snack, lunch, and extra (emergency) food, daypack, 2 L of water. An email will be sent out closer to the hike with a weather forecast and layering suggestions.

Badge work: This hike will count toward the Cadette Trail Adventure Badge. For those interested in the badge, a planning meeting will be held over zoom a few days before the hike (TBD).

Forms: Bring the Trip Specific Permission form and two copies of your Health History form – one is folded and placed in your first aid kit, the other is handed to the trip leader.

Solutions Superstar (JC)

Date: Sat Apr 11 2026, 12:30 PM PDT – 2:00 PM PDT
Solutions Superstar is a hands-on, problem-solving and logistics-themed activity program where Girl Scouts explore how everyday items move through the world—from supply chains to delivery routes—and practice creative thinking, planning, and teamwork. Girls complete three out of six engaging activities, such as mapping a product’s journey, designing efficient routes, building mazes with action codes, planning a concert tour, engineering protective packaging, and inventing new solutions. Throughout the program, they build critical thinking skills, discover real-world careers in logistics and engineering, and finish with a better understanding of how their problem-solving “superpowers” can make an impact in their communities and future pathways.

Environmental Stewardship Badge (DBJ)

Discover the power of protecting our planet! In this hands-on environmental stewardship program, Daisys, Brownies, and Juniors will explore the wonders of the natural world and learn what it means to care for the Earth with responsibility and heart.

Through activities—like observing local ecosystems, reducing waste, practicing conservation habits, and creating earth-friendly mini-projects—girls will see how even small actions can make a big difference.

Junior: 3:30pm-5pm

Through activities—such as analyzing local environmental data, exploring sustainability practices, designing green solutions, and leading mini-service initiatives—girls will build real-world skills in conservation, advocacy, and environmental innovation. Girls will investigate how human choices shape ecosystems, discover powerful youth-led movements, and learn how their voices can inspire meaningful change.
