Take the first step in your wilderness adventure! Designed for individuals, our Wilderness Hiking Course safely takes Girl Scouts and adults out of the campground and into the woods. Wilderness Hiking covers outdoor skills and knowledge and is recommended -though not a prerequisite* – for the Basic Backpacking and Advanced Backpacking courses. Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail learning about safety, proper gear and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, and building independence in Girl Scouts. Challenge yourself in mastering BB gun (air rifle) target shooting. There are a variety of different positions to choose from! Girl scouts will be instructed in gun safety, range etiquette, and accuracy training.

Levels must be completed in order and will increase in difficulty.
