Prerequisite: participants must have completed Trek Wild’s Wilderness Hiking Course (Look for upcoming course on Nov 16 if you are interested).
Meeting location: Rattlesnake Trailhead
Packing list: 10 essentials, appropriate layers, snack, lunch, and extra (emergency) food, daypack, 2 L of water. An email will be sent out closer to the hike with a weather forecast and layering suggestions.
Badge work: This hike will count toward the Cadette Trail Adventure Badge. For those interested in the badge, a planning meeting will be held over zoom a few days before the hike (TBD).
Leaders: Jill Murray (jls_murray@yahoo.com) and Kamber Dourcette (kamberdoucette@yahoo.com)
Cost: free
Forms: Bring the Trip Specific Permission form and two copies of your Health History form – one is folded and placed in your first aid kit, the other is handed to the trip leader.
This hike will run rain or shine, as long as there aren’t safety concerns.
Through activities—like observing local ecosystems, reducing waste, practicing conservation habits, and creating earth-friendly mini-projects—girls will see how even small actions can make a big difference.
