Girl Scout Day with UCLA Women’s Soccer

Girl Scout Day is kicking off at Wallis Annenberg Stadium!  Join us for an afternoon of soccer and celebration as UCLA Women’s Soccer team takes on Maryland in a Big Ten matchup on Sunday, September 28 at 1:00 PM!

Every ticket comes with a limited-edition UCLA Girl Scout patch, and after the match, all attendees are invited to take a photo on the field!

Marching Band Competitions (All, T)

Royal High School and Simi Valley High School both have amazing marching band programs!  Come out and support them during their annual band competitions.

Younger Girl Scouts will be inspired and older Girl Scouts can cheer on friends and support their school.

Financial Empowerment Badge Workshops (All)

The Financial Empowerment badges help Girl Scouts at every level build money management skills, develop an understanding of needs versus wants, and learn how to set and achieve financial goals. Through age-appropriate activities, Girl Scouts explore budgeting, saving, spending wisely, and planning for their future.

Money Masters Fun Patch Program (All)

Date: Fri Oct 24 2025, 5:00 PM PDT – 6:00 PM PDT
Girls will explore the basics of money through movement, games, and crafts, all while working toward their Financial Literacy Fun Patch. Girls will practice telling the difference between needs and wants, discover that money is something we earn before we spend, and make smart choices about how to use it. Through a lively earning game and a hands-on duct tape wallet craft, girls will gain confidence in handling money and leave with a tool they can use at home to keep track of their savings, spending, and sharing goals.

Behind the Ballot Badge (Senior):

Girls explore how elections work and why voting is important. They learn about the voting process, run a mock election, and discover how citizens use their voices to make decisions that affect their communities.

Public Policy Badge (Ambassador):
Girls learn how laws are made and how people influence public policy. They explore issues they care about, create advocacy strategies, and practice speaking to decision-makers about change.

Girls will build confidence and creativity as they explore the art of public speaking. Through interactive games, inspiring discussions, and hands-on speaking practice, Cadettes will complete all the steps to earn their Public Speaker badge while discovering how to communicate clearly, use body language effectively, and speak with style in any situation.

Mind Your Manners Badges (BJCS)

Brownie Making Friends and Junior Social Butterfly badges, giving girls the skills and confidence to build lasting friendships. Through hands-on activities like Friendship Recipe Jars, Friendship Bingo, Conversation Dice, and creating Friendship Flowers for a troopmate, girls practice introducing themselves, starting conversations, giving compliments, and celebrating one another’s strengths.

Cadette Netiquette badge and the Senior Business Etiquette badge into one engaging experience. Girls will explore how to communicate clearly and respectfully online, create positive first impressions in person, and build a personal brand that reflects their values. Through role-plays, group challenges, and creative projects, participants will gain confidence in navigating both digital and face-to-face situations with professionalism and kindness.

LeadHERship Around the World Program (All)

International Day of the Girl Fun Patch is a one-hour Girl Scout program for all levels that celebrates the power, potential, and rights of girls around the world. Through interactive games, creative crafts, and meaningful discussions, girls learn about the history and purpose of International Day of the Girl, explore global challenges and achievements, and reflect on their own strengths and values. Activities inspire participants to see themselves as leaders and change-makers, fostering confidence, empathy, and a commitment to making the world a better place.

Ghosts & Giggles Fun Patch Program (All)

Date: Fri Oct 31 2025, 5:00 PM PDT – 6:00 PM PDT
The Halloween Fun Patch that mixes three take-home crafts with an active game and a quick STEM challenge. Girls choose a base for a spooky haunted house, paint and decorate mini pumpkins, and assemble silly monster wreaths. Short movement and engineering activities break up sitting time and build teamwork and problem-solving.

Understanding Planet Earth – JPL Patch Program (All)

Date: Sun Oct 05 2025, 11:30 AM PDT – 12:30 PM PDT
Oxnard

This patch program invites girls to explore our home planet, Earth, from a whole new perspective, outer space! Using NASA and JPL’s work as inspiration, participants will learn about Earth’s interconnected systems, including temperature and climate. They’ll also get to connect to NASA’s rover missions by building their own Mars Rover craft. Through hands-on experiments, creative building, and an engaging group game, girls will discover how NASA studies Earth and other planets and why protecting our home planet matters.

Cost: $5 includes patch
