Red, White, & Brave! – Veteran’s Day Fun Patch Program (All)

In this heartfelt Veterans Day meeting, Girl Scouts will learn the meaning and history of Veterans Day and explore ways to honor those who have served in the armed forces. Through stories, crafts, and a service project, the girls will gain a deeper appreciation for veterans’ sacrifices and discover how they can express gratitude through action.

Wilderness Hiking Course (JCSAV)

Date: Sun Nov 02 2025, 9:30 AM PST – 4:00 PM PST

Trek Wild is Volunteer led hiking and backpacking in the GSCCC central/south area

Take the first step in your wilderness adventure! Designed for individuals, our Wilderness Hiking Course safely takes Girl Scouts and adults out of the campground and into the woods. Wilderness Hiking covers outdoor skills and knowledge and is recommended -though not a prerequisite* – for the Basic Backpacking and Advanced Backpacking courses. Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail learning about safety, proper gear and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, and building independence in Girl Scouts. This class lays a strong foundation for more extraordinary adventures. Have an entire troop interested? Contact us to arrange a course!

*New this year: 5th grade Juniors and older may attend; Wilderness hiking is recommended but not required for Basic Backpacking, which will be offered in the spring

Cost: $35/ individual covers course materials and “10 Essentials” starter kit. Refunds are available only when Girls Scouts cancels event.

Women in Construction (JCSA)

Women in Construction empowers girls to roll up their sleeves and dive into hands-on projects in building, design, and maintenance. With support from skilled mentors and fun, practical activities, girls will gain real-world skills, boost their confidence, and leave their mark on Camp Arnaz—one project at a time!

Credit Crafter (JCSA)

In Credit Crafter, Girl Scouts will explore the basics of credit—what it is, how it works, and why it matters. Through fun, hands-on activities and real-life scenarios, Juniors and older Girl Scouts will learn how to make smart borrowing decisions, understand credit scores, and build habits that lead to strong financial futures.

Whether they’re dreaming of their first car, planning for college, or just curious about how money works, this program helps them gain the tools they need to take charge of their credit journey with confidence and purpose.

Mane Masters (DB)

Giddy up and get ready to become a true Mane Master! In this hands-on program, girls will learn the art of braiding manes and tails, turning our four-legged friends into fabulous style icons. With tips, tricks, and plenty of practice, you’ll discover how to create beautiful braids and add a touch of flair to any horse’s look. Don’t miss this fun, creative, and hair-raising adventure—let’s make some mane magic together!

Note – This program does not involve horseback riding. Proper attire is still required.

Pony Pastries (All)

Get ready for a sweet adventure at Camp Arnaz! Girl Scouts will meet our horses, learn about their care and nutrition, and mix up tasty, no-bake treats—using fun, seasonal recipes that change throughout the year. It’s the perfect blend of hands-on learning and horse-loving fun!

NOTE – This program does not involve riding or grooming. Some treats may need to set in a fridge or freezer and be fed at a later time. If so, girls we be able to feed pre-made treats to the horses.

Equine Odyssey (CSA)

Chumash Indian Museum Tour (All)

Join us at the Chumash Indian Museum in Thousand Oaks for a special guided hike and museum tour in honor of Native American Heritage Month. This program is designed to educate participants about the rich history, diverse cultures, and lasting contributions of Native American communities, with a special focus on the Chumash people.

During this engaging experience, participants will learn about Native American traditions, art, history, and values while exploring the museum’s exhibits and beautiful natural surroundings. The guided hike will offer a deeper understanding of the land and its cultural significance, so please wear comfortable attire suitable for hiking.
