Daisies/Cadettes

In this hands-on safety adventure, Daisies will learn how to stay safe at home, in their neighborhood, and during Girl Scout activities. They’ll practice what to do if they get lost, learn how to respond in emergencies, and understand fire safety basics.

Meanwhile, Cadettes will kick off with advanced safety skills including water rescue techniques, emergency preparedness, and strategies for handling bullying. In the second hour, Cadettes will take the lead by helping guide their Daisy buddies through fun, age-appropriate activities, building their confidence as both safety experts and mentors.

Brownies/Seniors

Brownies will become safety superheroes as they explore how to stay safe at school, at home, and outdoors. They’ll create their own safety plans, learn how to prepare for natural disasters, and find out how everyday items like smoke alarms help keep us safe.

Seniors will begin with an in-depth session covering self-defense basics, fire and kitchen safety, and how to stay alert behind the wheel (distracted driving awareness). In the second hour, they’ll use their new skills and leadership abilities to assist Brownies with earning their award, reinforcing their own learning while supporting younger Girl Scouts.

Juniors/Ambassadors

Juniors will investigate real-life safety scenarios, from conducting home safety audits to learning bicycle and trail safety. They’ll practice how to evacuate in an emergency and talk through smart ways to prevent accidents during outdoor adventures.

Ambassadors will begin their session exploring personal safety in relationships, internet safety, and mentoring skills. They’ll also organize mini-discussions and role-playing games on safety topics. Date: Sun Jul 06 2025, 2:45 PM PDT – 3:45 PM PDT

Color Pop Slingshots

Create a unique art piece while building your skills with slingshots and paintballs!

Slingshots are descendants of the trebuchet and the sling—weapons used for centuries! For Girl Scouts, they serve as a progression step for target range activities like archery by teaching girls about following range rules and commands as well as helping them to build target skills and hand-eye coordination. This will help prepare Daisies and Brownies for target sports like archery and BB shooting but can still be fun for all age groups!
