Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk Fall Overnight (All, V, T)
Join sister Girl Scouts from around the country for the 2025 Spring Girl Scout Overnight at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. Camping will be inside at the Boardwalk’s Iconic Coconut Grove.
Includes:
- Sleep inside the Boardwalk’s Coconut Grove
- Free Play in the Arcade
- Dinner – October 3, 2025
- Breakfast – October 4, 2025

- Movie
- Sand Castle Contest

Space is limited for this event. This is not drop off event all Girl Scouts must have an adult chaperone, either her own or her Troop leader. Troops participating must complete a “Troop Travel” intent form and be in compliance at least one week before the event.

Outdoor Training Class (V)
Outdoor Training prepares leaders to teach their troop the skills needed for cooking and camping outdoors. This is a two part training. Both parts must be taken together and completed prior to any planned trips. Participants will plan their outdoor day during Part A and will be bring some camping and cooking supplies to Part B on Sunday.
Stepping Out is a prerequisite for this class and must be completed prior to Part A. Contact council for more information.

Part A: Thursday, March 13th 6-9pm

Note: Participants will need to buy food for cooking preparation in addition to the Council fee. Each patrol will need to bring a few camping/cooking pieces of equipment.
Confident Cash: Smart Money Moves Event (DBJCSA)
“Confident Cash: Smart Money Moves” event is to teach Girl Scouts essential financial literacy skills and the importance of saving, budgeting, and smart spending. Through interactive activities, games, and real-world scenarios, participants will learn how to set financial goals, make informed decisions, and develop lifelong money management habits. This program aims to empower Girl Scouts with the knowledge and confidence to build a secure financial future while fostering responsibility and independence.

Mad Science Fun Patch Event (DBJCSA)
“Mad Science Scouts” event is to inspire curiosity and foster a love for science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) among Girl Scouts through hands-on experiments and interactive learning activities. Participants will explore scientific principles, develop critical thinking skills, and engage in collaborative problem-solving in a fun and supportive environment. This event aims to empower girls to see themselves as future innovators and leaders in STEM fields while earning relevant badges and cultivating teamwork and confidence

Wilderness Hiking Course (CSA)
Date: Sun Mar 02 2025, 9:00 AM PST – 4:30 PM PST
Take the first step in your wilderness adventure! Designed for individuals, our Wilderness Hiking Course safely takes Girl Scouts and adults out of the campground and into the woods. Wilderness Hiking covers outdoor skills and knowledge and is a prerequisite for the Basic Backpacking and Advanced Backpacking courses. Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail learning about safety, proper gear and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, and building independence in Girl Scouts. This class lays a strong foundation for more extraordinary adventures!
Bright Minds, Bold Futures: Women in STEM (D,B,J,C,S,A)
Bright Mind, Bold Futures, vendor led program will highlight the careers, education, and contributions women have made to STEM. Also, inspire and empower participants by showcasing the achievements of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). Through engaging activities, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on projects, Scouts will explore STEM careers, develop critical problem-solving skills, and build confidence in their abilities. This program aims to break down gender stereotypes, spark curiosity, and encourage participants to pursue their passions in STEM fields while fostering a supportive community of future innovators and leaders.
