Sow What and Justice Journey in a Day Event (SA)
Are you interested in learning about larger issues in our world and how you can help?
land use, improve food delivery systems, and fight hunger. We will also learn about
food production, distribution, and the consumption processes. We will combine the
knowledge of food systems with the urgency of environmental issues to create a vision for change. This program will culminate in a “Take Action” project where we get to address these issues by educating others, promoting local eating, or implementing hands-on solutions like community gardens.
World Thinking Day (DBJCSA)
Join your fellow Girl Scouts and Girl Guides from over 150 countries around the world to celebrate World Thinking Day! World Thinking Day is more than just thinking. It is knowing that you have the power to make a difference alongside your global community of Girl Scouts and Girl Guides.
This amazing troop activity will be on Friday February 21, from 5:30pm-7:30pm.
Troops prepare a display, food, and SWAPS to showcase a country from around the world then tour through the other displays, exchanging swaps, enjoying the food samples, and discovering more about the world we live in.
Contact your troop leader for more information and to register for this great troop event!
Please note, this event will ONLY be open to girls scouts and their leaders, unfortunately we can not have families attend this event.
