Junior aMUSE Journey in a Day (J)

Observe the Moon Fun Patch Program (All)

International Observe the Moon Night is a global, annual event dedicated to encouraging people around the world to look up and learn more about the Moon. It’s organized by NASA and typically takes place in September or October, when the Moon is in its first quarter phase and visible in the evening sky.

Shining a Light on Human Trafficking: Awareness and Prevention – C/S/A.

Sponsored by Soroptimist International of Oxnard, with special guest Detective Ash’lee Grey from the Ventura Police Department Special Victims Unit, this powerful program invites all Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts with their parent or guardian to take part in an important conversation about human trafficking. Together, we will recognize and understand this critical issue, explore proactive measures to help victims, and learn ways to prevent future incidents. This special session is designed to empower Girl Scouts to become informed advocates who can make a meaningful difference in their communities. By working together in a supportive environment, we can shine a light on this pressing global issue and protect those who are most vulnerable.

Astronomy Fun Patch Program (All)

In this fun and engaging indoor meeting, Girl Scouts will become junior astronomers as they explore the wonders of the night sky. Through hands-on crafts and interactive lessons, they’ll learn how to recognize the phases of the moon and identify constellations. Girls will create their own moon phase models, design imaginative constellations, and discover the stories behind the stars—all while developing observation skills and sparking curiosity about the universe.

International Day of the Girl (All)

Date: Fri Oct 10 2025, 5:00 PM PDT – 6:00 PM PDT
International Day of the Girl, observed annually on October 11, is a global celebration of the power, potential, and rights of girls around the world. In this Girl Scout program, girls will explore the challenges faced by girls globally—such as access to education, gender equality, and leadership opportunities—and learn how they can be advocates for change. Through discussion, hands-on activities, and creative expression, girls will be inspired to raise their voices and support one another in becoming leaders in their communities and beyond.

Cost: $5 includes a patch

Code Quest Creators: Coding Basics (C)

Date: Sun Oct 05 2025, 3:30 PM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT

Cadettes will go beyond the basics in this advanced Coding Basics session designed to challenge and inspire. Girls will use real coding logic—like variables, loops, and conditionals—to build games or interactive apps. They’ll also explore how coding connects to real-world careers and how their creativity can fuel innovation.

Intro to Code Quest: Coding Basics (DB)

Date: Sun Oct 05 2025, 10:30 AM PDT – 12:00 PM PDT
In this fun and beginner-friendly Coding Basics session, Daisies and Brownies will take their first steps into the world of coding! Through hands-on games, storytelling, and simple logic puzzles, girls will discover how computers follow instructions and explore how they can “talk” to machines using basic coding concepts. No screens needed—just imagination and teamwork!

Cadette Media Journey in a Day (C)

Date: Sun Oct 12 2025, 11:00 AM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT
Spend a full day diving into the world of media in a way you’ve never done before! In this exciting, hands-on program designed just for Cadettes, you’ll take a behind-the-scenes look at how media works — from Instagram posts and movie trailers to ads, memes, and music videos. You’ll learn how to spot the hidden messages in media, challenge stereotypes, and think critically about the content you see every day.

You’ll explore how media influences your choices, your self-image, and your view of the world — and discover how you can use media to express your values and make your voice heard. Whether you love taking photos, editing videos, writing, or just scrolling through your favorite apps, this journey will open your eyes to the power of media — and how to use it for good.

26th Annual California Ocean & Coastal Amateur Photography Contest

Ready to participate? Here’s what to do:

1. Take pictures that feature any of the following subjects:

  • The scenic coast and Pacific Ocean off California
  • People of the California coast (just like YOU!)
  • California ocean and coastal wildlife (native species)

2. Read the Contest Rules and Guidelines – yes, kids can enter!

3. Submit your photos before 5:00pm, September 30, 2025.
