Love Your Earth (All)

Join us for a meaningful, hands-on program where Girl Scouts connect with nature and learn simple, powerful ways to care for the world around them. In Love Your Earth, girls will explore local ecosystems, discover how everyday choices impact the environment, and take part in creative activities that inspire eco-friendly habits.

Get Moving Journey in a Day (J)

Date: Sun Apr 26 2026, 11:00 AM PDT – 5:00 PM PDT
Jump into a full-day adventure where Girl Scouts explore the power of energy and discover how they can make the world a cleaner, greener place! During the Get Moving Journey in a Day, girls will dive into hands-on activities that uncover where energy comes from, how we use it, and why conservation matters. They’ll also begin planning a Take Action project—learning how their passion and ideas can spark real change.

Wander & Wonder: Outdoor Art Badges (DBJ)

Step outside and let nature inspire your creativity! In Wander & Wonder, Girl Scouts will explore the natural world through art, using the colors, shapes, and textures around them to create unique projects. girlswill practice observation skills, experiment with different artistic techniques, and learn how to bring the beauty of the outdoors into their own designs.

Daisy: 10:30am-12pm

Brownie: 12:30pm-2pm

Junior: 3:30pm-5pm

Cost: $10

AANHPI Heritage Fun Patch Program (All)

Celebrate the rich heritage and contributions of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander communities! In this program, Girl Scouts of all levels will explore the history, culture, and traditions that make these communities unique and vibrant. Girls will deepen their understanding, reflect on the importance of diversity, and gain appreciation for the stories and experiences that shape our world.

Paw-some Pet Pros Badge (B)

Calling all animal lovers! In this hands-on program, Girl Scouts will explore the world of pets and learn what it takes to care for them responsibly. Girls will discover the basics of pet care, understand the needs of different animals, and gain confidence in handling and helping pets in a safe and thoughtful way.

Wilderness Day Hike to Rattlesnake Canyon (Santa Barbara) (JCSAV)

Date: Sun Dec 07 2025, 9:30 AM PST – 2:30 PM PST

Trek Wild, a Volunteer led hiking and backpacking program in the GSCCC central/south area, is offering a day hike to Rattlesnake Canyon in Santa Barbara. This hike will include 1500′ of elevation gain (and loss) over 5.5 miles round trip.

Prerequisite: participants must have completed Trek Wild’s Wilderness Hiking Course (Look for upcoming course on Nov 16 if you are interested).

Meeting location: Rattlesnake Trailhead

Packing list: 10 essentials, appropriate layers, snack, lunch, and extra (emergency) food, daypack, 2 L of water. An email will be sent out closer to the hike with a weather forecast and layering suggestions.

Badge work: This hike will count toward the Cadette Trail Adventure Badge. For those interested in the badge, a planning meeting will be held over zoom a few days before the hike (TBD).

Cost: free

Forms: Bring the Trip Specific Permission form and two copies of your Health History form – one is folded and placed in your first aid kit, the other is handed to the trip leader.

This hike will run rain or shine, as long as there aren’t safety concerns.
