Trek Wild is Volunteer led hiking and backpacking in the GSCCC central/south area

Wilderness Hiking covers outdoor skills and knowledge and is recommended -though not a prerequisite* – for the Basic Backpacking and Advanced Backpacking courses. Spend your morning in the classroom and your afternoon on the trail learning about safety, proper gear and equipment, the Leave No Trace ethic, and building independence in Girl Scouts. This class lays a strong foundation for more extraordinary adventures. Have an entire troop interested? Contact us to arrange a course!

*New this year: 5th grade Juniors and older may attend; Wilderness hiking is recommended but not required for Basic Backpacking, which will be offered in the spring

Cost: $35/ individual covers course materials and “10 Essentials” starter kit. Refunds are available only when Girls Scouts cancels event.
