Money Mavens: Exploring, Building, Budgeting & Beyond (DBJ)

Date: Sat Jan 24 2026
From playful coin counting to real-world budgeting, Girl Scouts of all levels will build money smarts and confidence through hands-on, age-appropriate badge activities.

Daisies earn their Money Explorer badge by learning what money is, why we use it, and how to make simple choices about saving and spending—through fun, interactive games.
Brownies and Juniors dive into budgeting basics. Brownies plan how to spend, save, and share money, while Juniors create their own budgets and set financial goals to earn their Budget Builder and Budget Maker badges.

It’s a fun and empowering journey toward financial confidence—at every grade level!

Cost: $10 includes badge

Media Girl Positions (All)

Big news — Media Girl positions are officially open! If you’re a creative, passionate Girl Scout who loves expressing yourself through writing, podcasting, or social media, this is the perfect opportunity for you. You’ll get the chance to use your voice and talents to represent your council, share your experiences, and inspire others! This is more than just a role—it’s a chance to lead, create, and connect with others in a meaningful way.

What Media Girls Do:

  • Are the first to call on to participate in radio and TV interviews where they speak about what it’s like to be a Girl Scout.
  • Create video content for our TikTok, Facebook,YouTube, and Instagram, and other social media accounts when applicable.
  • Explore interests in photography, graphic design, writing, and videography. Potentially tour local media facilities and learn from guest speakers in the media industry.
  • Potential to write as a guest author on our Girl Scouts CCC blog.
We can’t wait to see the amazing stories you’ll tell!
