Sow What and Justice Journey in a Day Event (SA)

Date: Sun Feb 23 2025, 11:00 AM PST – 5:00 PM PST
Location: Oxnard Program Center
Do you need to earn a journey before you can begin on your Gold Award?
Are you interested in learning about larger issues in our world and how you can help?
This event is a great way to accomplish both of those!
In this journey, we will explore global environmental issues related to food and
land use, improve food delivery systems, and fight hunger. We will also learn about
food production, distribution, and the consumption processes. We will combine the
knowledge of food systems with the urgency of environmental issues to create a vision for change. This program will culminate in a “Take Action” project where we get to address these issues by educating others, promoting local eating, or implementing hands-on solutions like community gardens.
