Space Science Badge Workshop (DBJCSA)

Date: Sat May 03 2025 – Sun May 04 2025

Blast off into the exciting world of space science with our hands-on workshop designed for girls of all ages! Explore the wonders of the universe as you discover how stars are born, learn about the planets and their moons, and uncover the mysteries of the galaxies. Through interactive activities, experiments, and fun challenges, you’ll deepen your understanding of space and the science behind it.

Whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring astronaut, this workshop will ignite your curiosity about space while helping you earn your Space Science badge. Get ready for an out-of-this-world experience that combines learning with adventure!

Daisys & Brownies will create pocket books of the moon phases and our solar system, learn about sun dials and how they have been used throughout history, and learn about common constellations and learn the origins of the constellations.

Price: $10 per girl

Junior/Cadette: 12:30-2

Knowing My Emotions Fun Patch Class (J)

Junior knowing My Emotions Fun Patch is designed to encourage conversation, education, and empathy around mental health in a fun and engaging way. This program invites participants to explore and learn about the importance of mental well-being, while also celebrating the strength that comes from taking care of one’s mental health. Through a series of activities, girls will gain insights into emotional resilience, self-care practices, and how to support others. Activities include creating a journal, practicing mindfulness exercises, creating supportive messages for one another, and learning about mental health resources.

Program Aide Core Training (CSA)

All girls in 6th grade (must be at least 11.5 years old) and above are invited to attend Program Aide Core Training. Girls will learn what it means to be a Program Aide (PA) and ways to engage and be a role model to younger girls.

Girls must complete this course to be a PA at Day Camp.

Girls are expected to stay the entire time and may wear face masks.

Program Aide Core Training (P.A.C.T.) is a council-designed leadership course and one of the steps required to earn the Program Aide pin. For more information on the Program Aide pin contact info@girlscoutsccc.org.

Surf Happens – Girl Surfs Curl Event – JCSA

Date: Sat Apr 05 2025, 10:00 AM PDT – 2:00 PM PDT

Each surf day focuses on building the fundamentals of the sports, teaching safety etiquette, oceanography, and the basics of catching waves and standing up. On-land balance trainers, beach games, and fun with friends is a part of each surf day along with an environmental talk and beach clean up. Participants each receive a Surf Happens hat and patch and are provided with new wetsuits and boards to use during the lessons.

That feeling of overcoming fears, facing a challenge, and the thrill of riding on a wave foster camaraderie, confidence, and build memories that will last a lifetime. The Surf Happens Foundation is offering full and partial scholarships for the program as well. Each surf day lasts from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Collage Artist Badge Workshop (S)

Date: Sat Apr 05 2025, 11:30 AM PST – 1:00 PM PST

Unleash your creativity and explore the world of collage art! In this program, participants will dive into the art of combining materials and themes to create two unique collages. Choose from a variety of approaches, including:

– Merging different time periods or artistic styles.

– Crafting a visually cohesive piece based on a color theme.

– Designing a photo collage that tells a story.

– Using everyday items to transform the ordinary into extraordinary.

– Creating a self-portrait collage that reflects your individuality.

This program encourages self-expression and artistic exploration, culminating in a showcase of your masterpieces. Let your imagination lead the way!

Earth Day Fun Patch (DBJCSA)

Our retail program centers invite all Earth Day enthusiasts to come and earn a fun patch for Earth Day here at Girl Scouts! You know how every April 22nd, we celebrate our amazing planet and show our love for Mother Earth? Well, we’ve got a special surprise for all of you Earth Day heroes out there. This patch is a symbol of your dedication to preserving our planet and a reminder that we can all be superheroes in our own way. Wear this patch with pride, knowing that you’ve played a crucial role in making the world a greener, cleaner, and happier place for all living beings.
