Family Game Night (DBJCSAT)

Calling all Girl Scouts!
Come with your family to join the fun at Family Game Night!

Have fun and help a fellow Girl Scout earn her Gold Award.
Talk about a win-win!

When: February 21st, 3:30 to 5:30 pm
Where: Madera Elementary School MPR, 250 Royal Ave

Cost: $5 per person OR bring a game to donate. Games can be new or gently used.

No need to register, just come on by!

Outdoor Training (V)

Date: Wed Oct 01 2025 – Sun Oct 05 2025

Outdoor Training prepares leaders to teach their troop the skills needed for cooking and camping outdoors. This is a two part training. Both parts must be taken together and completed prior to any planned trips. Participants will plan their outdoor day during Part A and will be bring some camping and cooking supplies to Part B on Sunday.

Stepping Out is a prerequisite for this class and must be completed prior to Part A. Contact council for more information. 

Please ensure you have a gsLearn account before taking Stepping Out. To access gsLearn, log into your MyGS account then click gsLearn on the left side of your screen. If you need assistance, contact council.

Part A: Wednesday, October 1st 6-9pm
Part B: Sunday, October 5th 9am-4pm

If you have any questions about the training or Stepping Out, please reach out to council at info@girlscoutsccc.org or (800)822-2427.

Note: Participants will need to buy food for cooking preparation in addition to the Council fee.  Each patrol will need to bring a few camping/cooking pieces of equipment.

Santa Barbara Zoo Snooze (BJCSA)

Get ready for a roarin’ good time as you explore the zoo after hours and create memories that will last a lifetime! After your overnight adventure you are free to explore the zoo on your own.

Advanced Backpacking Trip (C*SA)

Date: Wed Jul 30 – Sun Aug 03

Must be in 8th grade or higher

Advanced Backpacking Trip: Enjoy the majesty of nature, along with the camaraderie of fellow backpacking enthusiasts while building higher-level skills. Take an active role in the trip planning process, making decisions as a group and mapping out your multi-day adventure. A few prep sessions and training hikes to prepare for multi-night trip in the Sierras. Prerequisites: Wilderness Hiking & Basic Backpacking

About this trip: This is a beautiful introductory level 4-day, 3 night backpacking trip in the Sierra National Forest, Kaiser Wilderness. We will camp the night before hiking, for a total of 4 nights away. This backpack is about 5 miles each way with about 1500’ of elevation gain. We will add day hikes.

All dates are mandatory:

  • Trip Dates: July 30 – Sun Aug 3
  • Planning Meeting: April TBD
  • Planning Meeting: May TBD Hike: May TBD
  • Pack Check: Late July TBD

Meetings, Hikes and Pack checks will have locations both in North & South Council. For the safety of all, all pre-trip dates are mandatory.
