Girls in Aviation Day – Santa Barbara (DBJCSA)

Art & Design Badge Workshops (DBJ)

National Guide Dog Program (DBJCSA)

Date: Fri Sep 05 2025, 4:00 PM PDT – 5:30 PM PDT
Celebrate National Guide Dog Month by learning how guide dogs help people with visual impairments live more independent lives. In this program, Girl Scouts will explore how guide dogs are trained, discover the bond between dogs and their handlers, and learn how they can support service dog organizations. Girls will build empathy, gain a deeper understanding of accessibility, and be inspired to make a difference in their communities.

Adult Outdoor Training (V)

Date: Mon Sep 08 2025 – Sat Sep 20 2025

Adult Outdoor Training is a two-part training.  You will get information about Part B at the conclusion of Part A.  You are automatically registered for both parts.

Part A: Monday, September 8, 2025 6:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thousand Oaks Program Center

Part B:  Saturday, September 20, 2025 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM Oak Park Campground – Simi Valley

DESCRIPTION: Outdoor Training enables you to learn skills needed for camping and outdoor cooking over an open flame.  You will learn how to implement a  girl-led camping trip, how to cook in the outdoors, tie-knots, and much more.

Adults are expected to attend both sessions, be present and actively participate.
PREREQUISITE:  Registered, Completed Background Check and Stepping Out Training

EVENT DETAILS:  Outdoor Training is a two-part training. Part A is a classroom based training where you will learn the basics of planning a girl-led camping trip. You will be put into patrols and challenged to go through the process of planning a council approved trip. You will be meal planning during part A. At the completion of part A, you will need to gather/shop for supplies for part B. Part B Outdoor Training is a practical application of the preparation you did during part A and will be located outdoors. You will be required to bring various camping supplies and/or food.

Event Fee $25.00

DASH Robots (DBJ)

Date: Sat Jul 26 2025, Various times between 11:00 AM PST – 5:00 PM PST

Get ready to code, create, and explore at the Thousand Oaks Program Center with Dash Into Coding! This hands-on, high-energy Girl Scout program invites girls to dive into the world of robotics using DASH robots. From robot-powered dance parties and obstacle courses to art-filled challenges and storytelling sessions, girls will build tech skills while having a blast. It’s the perfect mix of movement, creativity, and coding that shows just how fun STEM can be!

11am – 12pm, 12:30pm – 1:30pm. 3pm – 4pm, 4pm – 5pm

8 – 10 girls for capacity (can go to 12 girls at max capacity)

Girl Scouts Give Back: Letter-Writing Service Project for Texas

Mare Magic (CSA)

Welcome to “Mare Magic,” the ultimate horse science program tailored for Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors in Girl Scouts! Dive into diverse equine topics as we rotate through engaging sessions covering everything from advanced anatomy to careers in the equine world. Each session features expert instruction and hands-on demonstrations, allowing scouts to delve deeper into the science behind these magnificent creatures. Join us for an enriching experience that combines the wonders of horse science with the excitement of interactive learning, fostering a passion for both knowledge and horsemanship!

Note: This program does not include horseback riding. Check in for this program will be in the main parking lot in front of the lodge at Camp Arnaz.

Price: $30 per girl
